Island charities should look at IGR research says Manx Blind Welfare

Community services benefit most

The Manx Blind Welfare Society says research which shows the Island gives more generously to charity than Islands such as Jersey and Guernsey comes as no surprise to them.

Ian Cooil from MBW was speaking on this morning's Mandate programme, following research which showed 96% of residents give money or time to a variety of organisations.

Community services benefit the most - with health and medical and children close behind.

Mr Cooil says there's useful information contained in the study which charities should look at to help their own organisations.
