Local man petitions for wind farm
The Island could achieve carbon neutrality in three years, according to an independent lobbyist for renewable energy.
Dr Henry Uniacke is behind a petition urging government to invest in a wind farm.
With a doctorate in renewable energy generation, Dr Uniacke is prepared to provide necessary departments with technical support, and says a single wind turbine can be and has been put up in 24 hours.
An Agreement for Lease was reached with Danish energy firm Orsted, formerly Dong Energy, in 2014, who have since been joined by local company Crogga in the potential exploration of the area for hydrocarbons.
