Island's birth rate increases

MLC says government data could mark 'watershed'

The number of births on the Island have increased for the first time in a decade.

Figures published by the Cabinet Office show births were up in 2021, after falling to 660 in 2020.

It comes as the first results of last year's census have also been published.
