Two minutes of silence was observed at 11am
The Isle of Man has fallen silent for two minutes, as residents observe Armistice Day.
It marks an agreement to end the fighting of the First World War ahead of peace negotiations which began at 11am on 11 November 1918.
Tomorrow (12 November), the Island is set to recognise Remembrance Sunday.
A service will be held at St John's to remember those in the Armed Forces and their families who have played a role in protecting our way of life, or have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.
