Job Centre offers new Ramsey service

Drop-in sessions to be offered twice weekly

The Job Centre is making its services available beyond Douglas, in an effort to provide employment advice to those seeking work outside of the Island's capital.

From today, two weekly drop-in sessions will be held at Ramsey Town Hall as part of a Job Club initiative.
 
Around 200 people each month are said to use the centre based on Prospect Hill, which provides assistance with CVs, job applications and interview preparation. 

These will all now be available to job-seekers in the north, with clubs scheduled for each Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm.

Speaking on Mandate this morning, Chairman of the Town's Commissioners Andy Cowie said he believed it will be a popular move which will make access easier for residents by reducing unnecessary travel:
