Jobs blow in Castletown

Thirty-three jobs to go at Friends Provident International

Staff at Friends Provident International in Castletown have been told today (Wednesday) that 33 of them are to lose their jobs.

It follows the restructuring brought about in April when the firm was taken over by Aviva.

Local MHK Richard Ronan has described it as 'another blow for the south of the Island'.
