Jury still out in AG trial

The jury has resumed its delibrations in the trial of the Island's Attorney General Stephen Harding (12 Dec).

The court sat briefly this morning to hear that jury members, who retired yesterday afternoon, had not yet reached a verdict.

Presiding judge Deemster Birkett has urged the five men and two women of the jury to review all the evidence dispassionately.

Fifty-two-year-old Stephen Harding of Glen Vine denies charges of perjury and committing acts against public justice, relating to the winding-up of former Island company Street Heritage in 2010.

If no verdict is reached by 1pm court proceedings are expected to be adjourned until tomorrow.
