Lockdown effects won't be seen until next week

And government defends mixed messaging

The effects of imposing lockdown measures on the Isle of Man won't be seen until the middle of next week.

That’s according to the health minister who says it takes between five and eight days for the data to catch up.  

David Ashford has defended the government’s response to the latest outbreak of coronarvirus – there are now 163 active cases.

Chief Minister Howard Quayle also revealed why people were told to go back to normal on Sunday after the advice to stay at home the previous day:
