Man succeeds with 'Everest' cycling challenge

Money raised for Cruse

A Manx man has completed the challenge to cycle the height of Everest.

Rob Moneta rode up and down Ballakilpheric 70 times to match the near-9,000m height of the world's tallest mountain.

He did it well within his 24-hour target, starting at 4am on Saturday and completing it by 8.30pm that evening.

The challenge was in aid of Cruse Bereavement Care Isle of Man.
