Resources to be pooled online instead
Manx Care is removing face-to-face sessions for expectant parents.
All the resources will now be moved online.
The sessions gave first-time parents the opportunity to discuss the upcoming birth and advice for when baby arrives.
It also included a tour of the maternity ward and a chance to meet other families due at similar times.
All the topics in the current Parent Craft programme will be covered in the online resources and there'll be signposting for support if parents have any questions.
Manx Care says, if provision becomes available, face-to-face education sessions will be reinstated if it's a service users would like.
Anyone with a particular need for face-to-face education will be able to ask for it from their community midwife.
Options for face-to-face practical sessions for birthing parents are also being explored.
It's currently the only education provision offered by Manx Care to all expectant mums.
Meanwhile Daddy Baby Care sessions are set to continue in person as normal.
Manx Care says more information will be released when it becomes available.
