More than 200 people respond to survey asking how to better support new dads

Manx Care recognises 'gaps' in provision for fathers

Nearly 200 people responded to a survey asking how to better support new fathers on the Isle of Man in just two days.

Manx Care's launched the questionnaire after recognising it has 'gaps' in its service.

As a start 'Daddy Baby Care' is being brought back - a special two-hour class teaching the basics of childcare like nappy changing.

The health body also wants to hear other suggestions about how it could help.

"We have recognised that there is not the support for dads on Island as there is in the UK and we are hoping to rectify this." - Manx Care
