Documentary will spark debate says PAG
After intense scrutiny in the international press, offshore finance industries will feature in an Island film premiere next week.
The documentary titled 'The Spider's Web - Britain's Second Empire' is being screened at the Manx Museum Theatre at Kingswood Grove Douglas on Monday (13 November).
It shows how Britain expanded it's financial power across the globe through a network of offshore jurisdictions, funnelling captured wealth through the City of London.
Admission is free, with the two showings taking place at 6pm and 7:45pm.
The documentary's been brought to the Island by the Positive Action Group - member Roger Tomlinson says the film will be controversial here, but will provoke debate.
