Manx public praised for support of Turkish residents after earthquakes

Sense of helplessness from those with ties to affected areas

Two men from Turkey have praised the support they've received from people on the Isle of Man after earthquakes caused devastation in Turkey and Syria.

More than 11,000 people have died - the Disasters Emergency Committee has now launched an appeal to help survivors.

Ozy Kurd and Firat Oscar Aygon live on the Island but say they feel a sense of helplessness in being unable to physically help.

They're critical of the Turkish government too:

You can find more information about the DEC appeal HERE.
