Big chains likely to implement English regulations on Island
Shoppers on the Island could be affected by England's new mandatory fees for carrier bags.
Yesterday (Monday) saw new regulations force big stores to charge 5p per carrier bag.
It's part of a government bid to cut down on the some 7.6 billion that were handed out last year.
While it's unclear whether similar laws might be introduced in the Isle of Man, it's likely that chains such as Tesco and Boots will implement the charges in their Manx outlets.
