The MHK who inspired the 20mph speed limit scheme hopes her original proposals can now come into fruition.
The chief minister has sacked the infrastructure minister, Michelle Haywood, over the controversial plans to introduce the limits in residential areas around the Island.
Her replacement, Glenfaba and Peel MHK Tim Crookall, says his week one priorities will be to pause the rollout of the scheme.
Work had been due to start installing the signage in Douglas and Onchan today (Monday 19 January).
Douglas Central member Ann Corlett proposed the original motion that was passed in Tynwald in 2020 and then reaffirmed in 2023.
She hopes the pause of the scheme will mean a return to her original proposals:
