'Changes aren't set in stone'
"Alternate means of funding need to be examined by the Island's Health Service."
That from Garff MHK, Daphne Caine - she insists changes proposed by the Department of Health and Social Care - including increases in prescription fees - aren't set in stone, and the Manx public should have their say.
The concern relates to those on limited incomes, who may struggle to bear additional cost the new plans are likely to incur.
Mrs Caine says there must be other ways to address the deficit:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
