MHK says those without bank accounts mustn't be discriminated against
An MHK says the replacement for MiCard must be better than what's already on offer.
The card service, which allows people to collect their benefits or pension in cash at post office branches, will be shut down at the end of the year.
Treasury Minister Alex Allinson confirmed in Tynwald last week that work is ongoing to ensure those still using MiCard have an alternative way of collecting their payments.
But Douglas North member John Wannenburgh says it's important government makes sure a similar quality of service is available:
