Unions' announcement discussed in House of Keys
The education minister says three unions' decision to ballot members over a potential teachers strike is a disappointing situation.
The NAHT, NASUWT and ASCL will send ballot papers to teachers next month to determine whether to take industrial action in February over their ongoing pay dispute with the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.
Graham Cregeen faced questions about the announcement in this morning's sitting of the House of Keys, including one from Garff MHK Daphne Caine, asking if he is on the teachers' side.
