Commissioners table bid to buy building
Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey won't be attending tomorrow evening's (Fri) public meeting on Ramsey courthouse.
Ramsey Commissioners met last night (Wed) to confirm a bid of just under £400,000 for the iconic building, which has been put on the market by the Department of Home Affairs for £475,000.
The Commissioners offer would also include a 26 years free lease for the police office in Ramsey Town Hall.
A requisition meeting about the future of Ramsey Courthouse is taking place in the town tomorrow evening (17 March).
However, speaking on Mandate this morning, Commissioners' Chair Andrew Cowie confirmed Mr Malarkey will not be there:
