Controversial policy rationale queried
Don't base means-testing legislation on 'biased' government research gathered during 2015's Big Debate.
That message to the Cabinet Office from Manx Labour Party member, Richard Halsall, who says it isn't representative of majority opinion in the Isle of Man.
A submission was made by the MLP to a public consultation which ended on 18th August - it outlined opposition to the roll-out across government services.
The means testing route is expected to help root out benefit cheats, cut overheads, and reduce bureaurocracy.
Mr Halsall explains why he beleives the data behind the move is flawed:
