R-rate now at 0.46
Evidence is showing that the most recent wave of Covid-19 on the Island is losing its momentum.
That's according to the Director of Public Health Dr Henrietta Ewart.
She says the R-number measurement of infection rate is currently 0.46 - the number of people that one infected person, on average, will pass on a virus to.
Unveiling government's 'Living with Covid Winter Framework' yesterday Chief Minister, Alfred Cannan said it remained government's wish not to interfere in people's lives unless it becomes absolutely necessary.
The strategy involves three levels.
The Island is currently at level one - the lowest on the scale. Level two would require measures such as mask wearing in busy places, increased testing and a reduced level of household mixing.
But Level Three would be more onerous.
