More than 30 bus services at risk of being cancelled

Eight drivers are currently off with Covid-19

Over 30 bus services are at risk of being cancelled this afternoon.

Isle of Man Transport released a statement saying it's due to 'exceptionally high levels of driver sickness', as well as ongoing recruitment issues.

Eight drivers are currently off with Covid.
However, the statement says, essential services such as schools are fully sustained and the remaining 600 services today are unaffected.

It added over the last few weeks they've been working on a contingency bus timetable and more information will be announced on this timetable in the next week.

In the meantime any services at risk of cancellations will be announced at 17:30 each evening, to cover the next morning and then again at 10:00 to cover services until 17:30.
