Event covers 13km and 650m ascent
More than 90 local athletes are preparing for the James Coulson Laxey Fell Race today.
It starts at Glen Ruy Farm, covers 13km of the Island's landscape and 650 metres of ascent.
The race gets underway at 10:30am this morning, with a shorter, junior run starting from the same place at 10:25am.
All entries need to have full safety equipment, including a compass to navigate the course, as Chairman of the Manx Fell Runners Richie Stevenson says getting lost isn't uncommon:
