Bystanders help driver from car
The Island’s Fire and Rescue Service is reminding motorists to drive carefully in slippery conditions after a crash on the Mountain Road earlier this afternoon.
Just after 1pm, Police, Fire and Ambulance services were called to the Gooseneck on the Mountain Road after a car came off the road and ran into trees which stopped it continuing down the hillside.
Two bystanders helped the driver from the wreckages – nobody was injured in the incident.
The Fire Service says road conditions at the time were damp and drivers should drive to the conditions.
