17 staff members directly engaged in marketing, promotion and communications
Nearly £1 million is spent annually on 17 members of staff in the Department for Enterprise.
The figure has been revealed as part of a Tynwald written question from Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh.
He asked the enterprise minister how many people have responsibility for communications and marketing in each of his department's agencies and his department centrally.
Tim Johnston revealed his department spends £922,574 on staff 'directly engaged in marketing, promotion and communications' across each of the executive agencies, motorsport team and policy and strategy division.
That number includes National Insurance and superannuation contributions.
The written answer also reveals that amount is spent on 17 roles:
- Two staff in Finance Isle of Man
- Two in Digital Isle of Man
- Two in Business Isle of Man
- Three in Motorsport
- Four in Visit Isle of Man
- Four in Policy and Strategy (DfE Central)
He also confirmed Enterprise generates over £25 million of annual income from external sources.
