New airport website cost £25,000

Advertising revenue from new site goes to government

The recently-relaunched Isle of Man Airport website cost taxpayers almost £25,000.

Airport.im replaced the previous pages hosted on the gov.im website earlier this year.

A Freedom of Information request, submitted by Manx Radio, shows setting up the new website cost the Department of Infrastructure £24,835.

Two companies bid to put the site together - revenue generated by the platform goes to government minus a commission by the advertising agent.
