New hazard perception test for L-drivers

Changes are being planned for drivers preparing for the Manx driving test - probably taking effect some time in the autumn.

A computer-based Hazard Perception Test is currently being developed, which along with the theory and practical examinations, will make it a three-stage process in future.

The aim is to improve driving standards on the Island by using simulations of 'real world' local road situations.

The computer software is being fine-tuned with the DoT at the moment by Liam Hoey of MJH Data Systems (audio file attached):
