New stroke strategy introduced

A new strategy for treating stroke sufferers on the Isle of Man could help save lives and improve the chances of recovery.

The Manx Stroke Foundation is working with the Department of Health and Social Security to raise public awareness of strokes and how to recognise them.

Stroke is currently the third highest cause of death on the Island, killing 40 to 50 people a year.
