New text service created to bolster community spirit

'Textprayer' is for anyone feeling anxious or isolated

A new digital platform has been created to help those self-isolating feel less lonely.

'Textprayer' is a new initiative inviting people to message prayers and thoughts to a local support group.

With more and more people practicing social distancing, it's designed to meet the needs of people who are lonely or anxious, and highlight the value of supporting one another.

Jonny Harding is one of the brains behind the initiative.

He says the texting system is for everyone, faith or no faith:

You can contact Textprayer on 166142, Facebook, or online at textprayer.im
