Post office outlines new requirements 'to improve security'
Changes are coming in to the way you can send international mail, from the 1 January.
Isle of Man Post Office has explained the new system for anyone wanting to send goods to destinations outside of the UK, including Europe.
It means alongside the post, you'll need to provide what's described as 'accurate customs documentation' either digitally or on paper.
That's information about the sender, recipient and the contents of the item itself.
That will then be forwarded to the destination postal administration.
It's as a result of a 'Universal Postal Union and World Customs Organisation-led initiative to improve security and safety.'
