Newborn babies in the classroom

A child development project which aims to aid social and emotional development is to be trialled in the Island.

The 'Roots of Empathy' initiative will see year two children at 10 Island primary schools taught to observe and interact with tiny babies.

Pioneered in America, Canada and Australia, it’s been shown to reduce levels of aggression and violence and increase empathy.
