Costs to increase by 27.5% following Tynwald vote
Manx Gas' parent company says there was no alternative to proposing significant gas price rises on the Isle of Man.
Yesterday (19 October) Tynwald approved a motion which will see prices increase by 27.5%.
Islands Energy Group says it would 'absolutely' commit to bringing rates down again if the market stabilises.
It's CEO, Jo Cox, was asked what other options were considered instead:
Port St Mary Commissioners urging residents not to 'struggle in silence'
Hunt the Wren events taking place across the Island
St John's to host annual Cammag match
