Chair Keith Dalrymple wants views which are 'complimentary and critical' of the town

The chair of the Northern Chamber of Commerce says it's using reviews of UK town centres to support the creation of a 'masterplan' for Ramsey.

Keith Dalrymple believes it will inform decision-making going forward and hopes that it will help the town grow and encourage future investment.

The chamber is currently holding a consultation at Ramsey Town Hall for residents to have their say and wants comments which are 'complimentary and critical'.

Mr Dalrymple says there needs to be evidence from the public that what they want would be a 'viable and sustainable' investment for the town.

Local Democracy Reporter Emma Draper spoke to him and Secretary to the chamber Emma Honey:

The clerk at Ramsey Commissioners says a consultation into a 'masterplan' for the town will provide it with information about which areas need improvements and refurbishment.

Derek Flint believes the local authority and residents depend on the town 'thriving' and says its partnership with the Northern Chamber of Commerce is a 'key strength'.

The chamber is currently holding a drop-in session at Ramsey Town Hall for people to have their say and wants comments which are both 'complementary and critical'.

Mr Flint says it's 'important' for residents to contribute and have their say so the local authority can 'make improvements' over the coming years:
