Charles Guard is reacting to a public consultation which has opened on proposals to designate Douglas Head as such an area. The move follows earlier consultation feedback in 2021, when 77 percent of respondents supported the idea. Mr Guard says if it goes ahead, it doesn’t mean nothing can ever be changed; just that greater care would be taken when it comes to planning decisions:
