Repairs complete after flooding
Sports halls and changing rooms at the National Sports Centre will reopen next Monday – July 11.
They were among indoor and outdoor facilities damaged in severe flooding in December last year.
They’ve since undergone a thorough cleaning and drying out process before being repainted with new floors and lighting installed.
Sports equipment has also been replaced.
Last week, Department of Education member Bill Malarkey told colleagues that the squash courts would also be operational by late August with the Bowls hall work due to be completed in September, along with the re-opening of the all-weather astro pitch.
