A Manx recipient of the OBE in the Queen's Birthday honours list says she hopes to be able to visit the Island more now she's retired.
Elizabeth Rayner Scott Walton (nee Hammonds) has received the honour for her services to post-16 education.
She was educated at the old Douglas High School for Girls and worked in London for many years where she was the former principal of the William Morris Sixth Form Academy, in Hammersmith and Fulham.
She says her work was dedicated to giving disadvantaged students a second chance.
