That’s the advice from the Office of Fair Trading after 72-year-old Francis Hannigan was prosecuted for servicing fire extinguishers unsafely.
Chairman David Quirk MHK says the case highlights the dangers of allowing people to carry out work without knowing whether they’re competent to do so.
