Pay disputes not affecting recruitment says Manx Care 

Ballot currently underway over four per cent offer

Ongoing disputes over pay for healthcare workers on the Isle of Man are not affecting recruitment.

That's the view of the chief executive of Manx Care.

The health body has offered a four per cent increase something it claims is 'slightly higher' than that offered to UK counterparts.

Unions are currently balloting their members on the proposal – Prospect says initial indications are that it will be rejected.

Teresa Cope says she's aware of the risk of industrial action but doesn't believe it's having an impact on attracting new staff:
