Events to mark 100 years since Joseph Pilates was released from Knockaloe
Events are taking place this weekend to mark 100 years since Joseph Pilates was released from internment on the Island.
He came up with the concept of the exercise practice which bears his name, while at Knockaloe camp on the Island during the First World War.
It's now used by millions around the world.
Island-based pilates teacher Mo Sherring says there will be a variety of different teachers and presenters during the weekend.
Events are taking place at the Best Western Hotel in Douglas today and at Knockaloe on Sunday.
