Ruby Midghall thanks supporters on her road to recovery
After six weeks recovering in hospital after surgery for a badly broken hip, the popular proprietor of the Fairy Cottage Filling station in Laxey, is back home to continue her recovery.
Ruby Midghall sustained her injuries after a fall outside her home on a wet and windy night in the run-up to Christmas, sparking a flood of messages from well wishers.
She has operated the Island's last fully independent filling station for over 57-years, and hopes to be back serving customers again some time this Spring.
