The Celtic League is praising the government over its moves to improve psychiatric care facilities at the Isle of Man's new prison.
The League wrote to the Minister of Home Affairs Adrian Earnshaw asking whether mental healthcare facilities had been improved in line with the better conditions at Jurby.
Mr Earnshaw said improvements have been made with two new mental health nurses working at the jail, one a specialist in drug and alcohol problems.
In response, the League says it welcomes the positive moves being made by the government to help prisoners.
