Scally says he understands parents keeping kids at home
A former regional director of Public Health in England says he fully understands if parents choose to keep their children at home.
The Department of Education has confirmed it's 'struggling' with high levels of absenteeism amongst staff and pupils due to Covid-19 and winter bugs.
It's led to a warning that year groups could be asked to study at home as a 'last resort'.
Gabriel Scally is a visiting Professor of Public Health at the University of Bristol who has been following the Island's progress:
