The chair of the Public Services Commission (PSC) says 'misinformation' has turned the culture of whistleblowing in the Isle of Man Government 'sour'.
Rob Callister MHK has been giving evidence to a Tynwald committee looking at the effectiveness of the Island's laws.
The committee says it's heard some whistleblowers were left feeling 'suicidal' after their experience.
But Mr Callister says there's a discrepancy between what the law actually does and what people expect from it:
"We think it's inhumane the way he was treated."
