Public praised for helping search for missing dogs

Family asks for privacy to grieve loss of Kipper and Merle

The family of two dogs which went missing from a farm in Bride say they will be ‘missed dearly, remembered forever and will never be replaced’.

Members of the public have been thanked for their help in searching for Kipper and Merle following their disappearance on 1 July.

In a post on social media the family has confirmed the dogs have been found but not under the circumstances they were hoping for.

The said: “At least we can say they are back on the farm where they belong. And for us we have closure.

“We just wanted to say thank you to everyone that helped us search for the pups even if it was just keeping an eye out whilst walking your own dogs. We appreciated all the support so much.

“We would really appreciate if people could give us the privacy to grieve the loss of our beautiful pups now without speculation.”

“Although their stay with us was only brief, they will be missed dearly, remembered forever, and will never be replaced.”
