Public questions on policing help to avoid complacency, according to a senior member of the Isle of Man Constabulary.

Yesterday marked the end of a month-long recruitment drive for special constables.

Chief Officer Dean Johnson insists the level of interest shown in joining the Island's voluntary section of the police force was better than expected.
