Barber confirms business is continuing with closure plans
Ramsey Bakery will continue with its plans to shut at the end of this month after facing a 'perfect storm' of issues.
That's according to the environment, food and agriculture minister who met with the company yesterday.
Clare Barber says input costs have been 'hugely significant' in the bakery's decision to close its operation after 50 years.
She told Manx Radio that government's role now is to help other companies explore entering the bakery sector:
Faulty device believed to have triggered multi-agency search effort
Payroll firm reprimanded after thousands of personal records discovered in abandoned shredding bins
Finish line in sight for Atlantic rowers
Further delays to Manxman sailings following weather disruption
