McGuinness says changes don't work for residents in the north
A Ramsey commissioner is maintaining that new car parking charges at Ronaldsway are negatively affecting residents from the north.
It follows a reminder issued by the Isle of Man Airport about the drop-off/pick-up area at the front of the terminal which it says is ‘strictly no waiting’.
The airport claims ‘safety and security issues’ have been caused by drivers waiting for long periods with some even leaving their vehicles unattended.
Changes, enforced in July, lowered the free parking time from one hour to 30 minutes and separated parking bays into premium and standard rates.
Commissioner Juan McGuinness says the issues come as ‘no surprise’ adding the authority had warned the Department of Infrastructure that these problems could arise:
Public invited to suggest new brownfield site for potential re-development
Anthony Allen re-elected as chair at Onchan Commissioners
Police urge public to check person's identification if claiming to be a police officer
No date set for reopening of NCAS reuse centre
