The local authority is hoping to cover the cost with a government grant
Ramsey Commissioners will be purchasing 35 new deckchairs in an effort to support local footfall and improve the 'visitor experience'.
It will cost the local authority £8,350 but is hoping to utilise the Department for Enterprise's Local Economy Fund grant scheme to cover the payment.
It estimates that each chair will cost £110 per chair, which includes supply, fabric and delivery whilst the materials for the construction of the storage units is £4,200.
The local authority believes the total capital cost will be £3,850 for the deckchairs which should have a lifespan of five years.
The deckchairs will feature the commissioner's logo to help promote the town when they are 'requested' for use at events outside of Ramsey.
It's hoped that during peak months it will increase spend at nearby cafes and shops as well as improve accessibility for older residents and families.
