Staff at the Curraghs Wildlife Park have welcomed an exciting new arrival..
The as yet unnamed Columbian spider monkey was born on Wednesday, to parents Bolivia and Kieron.
General Manager Nick Pinder it's still early days, but it's a significant event for the Wildlife Park as it confirms they have a breeding pair of the rare species of monkey.
He says the parents were only put together late last year and have had the added distraction of Martha, Bolivia's young daughter.
Mr Pinder hopes it will lead to the founding of a new dynasty of spider monkeys.
