There's reassurance for people who've had hip replacements in the Island, amid concerns at the use of metal-on-metal hip joints.
The Department of Health says the two types of joints currently causing concern in the UK have NOT been used in operations carried out at Noble's Hospital.
Anyone who had the DePuy ASR or ASR XL metal-on-metal hip joints fitted elsewhere, is advised to contact their consultant or hospital, whether they're in pain or not.
The advice for those with other types of metal-on-metal implants is that they should be checked once a year by their surgeon.
